Practice Registration Policy
The practice covers some 81 square miles of the northern part of the Forest of Dean, lying between the River Severn and the River Wye. The area is one of outstanding natural beauty and offers facilities for many outdoor activities. Cinderford is within easy commuting distance of Gloucester and Cheltenham. The Centre of Bristol is less than one-hour's drive away via the Severn Bridge. Newport, Cardiff and Birmingham are within easy reach.
You can check if your address is within the practice area by entering your postcode in the interactive map below.
If you move to an area outside the practice boundary you will need to register with a practice more local to your new address. Travelling distance and time for medical staff to provide home care visits for patients too ill to attend surgery must be kept to a minimum, to ensure as prompt a response as possible in meeting these needs.
A map of our practice area and boundaries is also available for viewing at reception in Cinderford.
All practices are required to provide their patients with a named GP who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that the surgery provides for them.
Upon registering with the practice you will be allocated an accountable GP. New & existing patients can obtain the name of their accountable GP by contacting the practice.
Having a named GP does not prevent you from seeing any other GP in the practice. At times your named GP may not always be available, so you may need to see a different doctor for same day advice or urgent appointments.
