Appointment Reminders via SMS Text

The practice will now be sending appointment reminders and other communications via SMS text message.  We therefore ask that all patients keep the practice updated with their mobile phone number.

If you prefer not receive communications via text please let the practice know and we can update your records

 

Cinderford Dispensary Phone Line Opening Times

From January 2017 the dispensary phone line for repeat prescription requests & queries will only be available during the following hours:

08:30am - 10:30am every morning

15:30pm to 17:00pm every afternoon except Thursdays where there will be no phone access at all

If you would like to register for online repeat prescription ordering please speak to a member of staff or download the forms from the relevant section of the website.

Patient scam

NHS England has been alerted to a recent incident where a patient was contacted by someone claiming to work at Bradford on Avon Health Centre in Wiltshire.  The caller stated that the patient's prescription was ready for collection and could be delivered if debit / credit card payment details were provided.  The patient was further advised that he needed to pay an additional cost following a change that had been made to the prescription.

Joining Up Your Information

Joining Up Your Information is all about giving clinicians and social care professionals the information they need to provide you with the best treatment.

Your GP, hospitals, community health, mental health and social care teams could all hold important information about your care but it is often not immediately available to people working in other parts of your local NHS and care community.

The project team is developing a secure online system that will make key parts of your medical records available whenever and wherever they are needed to staff who are directly involved in caring for you.

Letters are currently being sent to all existing patients aged 16 or over explaining the project and how to opt out.

Out-patient transport booking requests

Please note a new control centre has been set up to handle your transport booking requests and queries.  The telephone number is (0845) 600 6068.  The surgery no longer deals with transport booking requests and queries.
