Repeat prescriptions are held on computer and a doctor will have specified how many repeats may be issued before you need to be seen by a doctor for review.
Repeats may be ordered by post enclosing a stamped addressed envelope, in person at reception or dispensary, on-line via this website or by telephone on (01594) 820820 and selecting option 2 for repeat prescriptions.
If you are able to order your prescription or medication in an alternative way to telephoning the practice please do so, as this leaves the telephone line free for patients who do not have internet access or who are unable to attend at the practice to order in person.
Paper Prescriptions can be collected from reception or with prior notice, already dispensed from the Cinderford chemist of your choice or Drybrook Chemist.
Electronic Prescriptions can be sent to a Pharmacy of your choice anywhere in the country where they offer the Electronic Prescription Service. Please ask as dispensary about this option or read the Electronic Prescription Service page from the link on our home page
48 working hours notice is required for the issue of repeat prescriptions if you collect your prescription from the practice. We recommend waiting slightly longer than this if collecting a prescription already dispensed from your pharmacy of choice.
From time to time patients will be asked to see the doctor to review their medicines, and to check on progress before further repeats are authorised.
To obtain medication in an emergency please contact the practice by telephone, during practice closing hours to be diverted to the out-of-hours emergency service.
